Synopsis:
CardBlock is a Symbian Series 60 trojan that blocks the memory card. When installed, CardBlock pretends to be a cracked version of InstantSis which provides the ability to re-pack previously installed .SIS files and copy them to another device.

CardBlock deletes the following directories:
C:\system\bootdata
C:\system\data
C:\system\install
C:\system\libs
C:\system\mail
The deletion of these directories effectively erases user SMS and MMS messages, phonebook, and other system data including install information for third-party applications, which removes the ability to uninstall them.
CardBlock also locks the memory card with a random password so when the device is reset, the memory card is locked and only a hard reset can get the memory card to work again. |
