Mobile Device Reset Codes and Procedures

Select Your Device:

Windows Mobile Smartphone Devices

Many Smartphones (including the Motorola Q) have a Master Reset option found in the System Tools in the Start menu.

Selecting this will ask you to confirm the action before formatting the device.

imate Smartphone 2:

- Switch off the phone, and make sure that you have an SD card in slot
- Hold down the Record/Memo button
- While holding that down, Hold down the Power Button
- The screen will show something like found SD card and then prompt you to press any key.
- When you see that message, quickly Push down on the Action key (Joystick - Center - Push it down) and hold it for a second.
- If you see a screen with a listing of numbers and number 8 with Erase IPSM, you are all set. (Incase you see a screen with multiple colors then you will have to repeat the process all over again)
- Select 8 and wait for the phone to do its job.

Mitac Mio 8390:

- While turned off hold down the power button and 'down' button on the d-pad.. the phone should vibrate and go into the bios.
- Click on memory test (option 4)
- Select NAND Format (option 2) and that should hard reset the phone
- Click on reboot to complete.

Motorola MPx200:

Keep pressing and holding the blue Action Key and Power Button past the Smartphone 2002 screen. You will see a Master Reset screen asking if you want to perform a hard reset. Note that performing a hard reset will erase applications such as the Task Manager and File Manager provided by Motorola. You will need to reinstall these Motorola-provided applications from the CD-ROM disc that is bundled with the MPx200.

Motorola MPx220:

Press and hold the blue action key and switch on the phone. If it asks you to format press yes.
After you have to power it on again.

Voq Professional Phone:

- While the Voq Professional Phone turned off and unplugged, remove the battery and then replace.
- Flip-open QWERTY thumbpad.
- Press and hold space key and simultaneously press and hold On/Off button until the Voq Professional Phone turns turns on completely (approximately 5 - 10 seconds). The space key and On/Off button may be released after a blue screen will appear stating: Factory Reset Mode!!! Erasing flash... Percent
- Do not interrupt the Factory Reset until the Home screen appears. (approximately 3 minutes)

Xphone II :

Press the two black keys(below the LCD) and power on the Xphone II & wait for the screen menu for reset.
