Dubai: Indian, her supervisor jailed for sexting

Dubai, Mar 18: In yet another incident indicating the growing hostility towards foreigners in Dubai, an Indian flight attendant and her cabin services supervisor were found guilty of indecent behaviour as they were sending each other sexually explicit text messages.

Convicted for ‘coercion to commit sin’, the Emirate airlines cabin crew members were slapped with a six month prison term. However, the jail term was later reduced to the three months and the deportation orders were lifted on appeal, The National reported.
The case reportedly began when the husband of the flight attendant filed a case against his wife accusing her of being in an illicit relationship with her supervisor. The lawsuit was filed a year ago during a three year long divorce battle which began in 2007.
